The Joint International Council for the Regulation of Higher Education Qualifications (JICRHEQ) has a long history dating back since the 1960s.
The Joint International Council for the Regulation of Higher Education Qualifications (JICRHEQ) has a long history dating back since the 1960s.
Following consultations that spanned many years for a merger between the Councils and General Committees of the International Associated Higher Education Board (IAHEB), which was founded in 1960 and the International Higher Education Regulatory Group (IHER), which was founded in 1964, the JICRHEQ was formed in 2022 as a membership service of the Association of Health Care Professionals Bulgaria. Thus, the JICRHEQ hold the information for all the higher education equivalent qualifications that were provided by both IAHEB and IHER up until 2021/2022.
The formation of JICRHEQ represented the culmination of several decades of corporate activity on the part of IAHEB, which came about as a response to the policies of the different international governments, membership organisations and professional bodies towards public examinations and the regulation of higher education equivalent provision of qualifications, as well as moves to strengthen the regulatory framework to global communities that participate in our programmes.
Consequently, the JICRHEQ is independent from the Academies, Colleges, Study Centres and Learning Centres internationally that it regulates its higher educational qualifications. Thus, the various organisations are under different jurisdiction globally and should not be misinterpreted as being the same or having links to the JICRHEQ.
